The site where the Roundtop lookout used to stand offers a great view of Lake Pend Oreille from above Hope, in the northern panhandle of Idaho. Access is by 20 miles on horrible roads or a hike up from Hope to get there, so it is quiet and secluded.  An L-4 on a 50' pole tower was constructed in 1935, and destroyed about 1961
